The Rotary E -Club Berlin Global is the First English – German speaking Rotary E – Club worldwide and the first Rotary E – Club in District 1940. It was initiated to assemble people who live the rotarian principles of service above self and business ethics and also embrace the fast and dynamic pace of communication all over the world, which challenges Organisations like Rotary to adapt to e-driven people and to continue to grow with future member generations.

Club meetings
The next Club Meeting of our Rotary E-Club Berlin Global is taking place next Wednesday May 16th, 7 Pm at our exclusive Location Panoramapunkt, Potsdamer Platz 1 (24th Floor).
The guest speaker will be Udo von Massenbach (http://www.massenbach-world.de/), President of the American-German Business Club Berlin, speaking about ‘’The activity of the American Community (esp. Business Community) in Germany and especially in Berlin’’.

President’s Message: regarding the Gala Dinner of ReCBG
The Charter Gala Dinner of Rotary E-Club Berlin Global was a really unique and historic moment for our Club. Not only the location was marvelous, but also the atmosphere, the speakers, the moderator, the music and the international guests. We were very happy to have with us around 90 high level guests from various corners of Berlin, Germany and the world. High ranking guests such as three District Governors, Rotarians From Berlin, Cologne, Lübeck, Hamburg, Moscow, Hong Kong and also guests from Diplomacy, Media, Politics, Business, Online Economy, Social Media, IT, Arts etc. It was a unique evening. I am very proud of that event! Lets keep on enjoying the wonderfoul trip through Rotary International and Rotary E-Club Berlin Global!

Our Club has 30 members representing 13 Nationalities, having members in Berlin, Frankfurt, USA, Switzerland and Canada from various business sectors. We have online and offline meetings, we based in Berlin but we are Global, we are International and Local, we are Active and Interactive, we speak English and German, we are innovative but we share and we beleive in the same traditional rotarian values and ideas! This project is all about monetized videoclips you can watch online for free. That means that you can see some ads playing in between our clips. These ads are payed by sponsors. Each click donates some money to one of our projects. The principle is simple: The more clips we can show, the more money we can donate. All money coming in is spent for social projects – none of it is going to administration or production. Now we need you to assist us. Help us to find some interesting content we can talk about online. Maybe you want to introduce your club, your social projects, you want to tell us about experiences, success stories or anything else. Leave us a message and we will produce a videoclip about your story. Of course, you can embed your personal movie into your webpage, blogs, newsletters or simply forward them to your members, friends and colleagues. In this way we can reach a growing audience which helps us to increase donation for social matters.

“This close” to ending Polio
After 20 years of hard work, Rotary together with its partners and donators are very close to eradicating this tenacious disease. Still a strong push is needed to root it out once and for all.
In order to encourage further public support for its effort to eradicate polio, Rotary International is welcoming a select group of celebrities and other major public figures into a new public awareness campaign called “This Close”. The campaign is a unique way to promote Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign and its $200 Million Challenge (to match a $355 million polio eradication grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation). Our club also wants to contribute to this campaign and made a video about “This close” to ending Polio. see full article here

Gendarmenmarkt
Am 07. Oktober 2011 lud der erste englisch-deutschsprachige Rotary E-Club und der erste E-Club im Distrikt 1940 – der Rotary E-Club Berlin Global – zum feierlichen Charter Gala Dinner.
Im Hotel Sofitel am Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin führten Frau Ariane De Hoog, Journalistin, Deutsche Welle–TV und der Charter Präsident Yannis Salavopoulos die über 90 anwesenden Rotarier, Freunde und Mitglieder durch das feierliche Charter Gala Dinner. Unter anderen der Distrikt Governor Freund Neubüser, der Past Governor Freund Frerker, und der ehemalige Governor Freund Knaack. Aus der ganzen Welt schalteten sich zudem Mitglieder und Gäste über die Online Plattform des Clubs zu.
