The Rotary E – Club Berlin Global, (the first English – German Rotary E – Club and the first E – Club in the District 1940) organised a Rotarian Event, on 29 June 2011, 19.00, at Panoramapunkt (Kollhoff Tower, 24 and 25 Floor) over the skies of Berlin with a spectacular 360 view and sunset over Berlin City, (Potsdamer Platz 1, 10785 Berlin).
On the occasion of the official launching of our Club and in the presence of the District Governor Jürgen Frerker, who made a welcome speech, we presented to Rotarian guests and Club friends our new concept as a Rotary E-Club, as well as our offline and online initiatives and ideas to promote the Rotarian values and fellowship. A series of presentations followed (online and offline). Then fellowship networking took place.

It was a really great and touching event, also for us, the online attendees. This time the tecnology was perfect and we also had a great evening with all of you! Thank you all for the work and effort and I am looking forward to continue working with you in this great cause!!
A great thank you to all of you who have been involved in our Charter Event yesterday, especially to Yannis and Mario. You both did an extremely good job (particularly the media contributions – thanks also to Florian again – and the moderation) and filled my heart with pride being part of our club. Those who could not make it to attend yesterday missed a perfect evening which left the participants with a deep feeling of something great coming up from our club. Let’s continue to make it real!

Great event last night, I thought – with a lot of ‘e’ originality and a good English/German balance: really put us on the map and guests seemed genuinely impressed, notably Herr Frerker. So well done Yannis and Mario for making it happen – and thanks to Sven for an excellent e-gaming presentation (below): comprehensive, but clear, short and to the point, too! And yes, like Sven, I thought Florian’s ‘so close’ video was really great – and very professional: serious message but entertaining in its delivery! H
Thanks to all of you! Although a lot of work i think it was a great experience the event yesterday! WE WERE AND WE ARE OFFLINE AND ONLINE in a good balance Berlin and Global, International and Local, Active and Interactive, English and German!
